BVIS Tet Assembly: Traditional Tet stage for Primary students To celebrate Tet this year, all Early Years and Primary students in the British Vietnamese International School, Hanoi have had a special Tet show. All the songs and dances that were performed demonstrated the cultural diversity of Vietnam with the aim of loving, widely promoting and honouring the traditional culture of Vietnamese people.

Tết is the most important celebration in Vietnam, honouring the arrival of spring. Tết is a time for people to reflect on what has taken place over the past year, and together with their families, to look towards the future.

2019 is the Year of Pig, the twelfth sign in the Chinese zodiac calendar. To celebrate Tet this year, all Early Years and Primary students in the British Vietnamese International School, Hanoi  have had a special Tet show.  All the songs and dances that were performed demonstrated the cultural diversity of Vietnam with the aim of loving, widely promoting and honouring the traditional culture of Vietnamese people.

We hope all teachers and students, as well as their parents felt the joyful and magnificent atmosphere from the drum performance to the gentle and warm spring atmosphere of melodious music. Every year, the Lion Dancing, which symbolises luck, happiness and well-being, is indispensable to our Tet celebrations.

We  express our sincere gratitude to all the parents who contributed to the success of the event by preparing beautiful Áo dài, and practicing singing and dancing with the children at home.  We believe this year will be a promising year for health, success and happiness for all of us.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
