Meet the teachers at Kamýk Primary.
Principal
Niki Meehan has extensive school leadership experience, with a career spanning over twenty five years and several countries. Prior to joining PBIS, Niki was Principal at Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam. She has also held leadership positions at other prestigious Nord Anglia schools in Jakarta, Shanghai, and Bratislava, where she successfully built inspirational communities for students, parents, and colleagues.

Head of Kamýk Campus
Paul qualified from Oxford University in 1999. He taught in a primary school just outside Oxford for four years before moving to Prague in 2003. Initially Paul worked within the school as a Year 2 teacher, then Deputy Head before being appointed Head of Primary at Kamyk. Paul was appointed Head of PBIS Kamyk Campus in 2017.
Deputy Head: Early Years
Emily studied Primary Education at St Martin’s College, Lancaster. She graduated with a degree specialising in Religious Studies before taking up her first teaching post in London. Following this, Emily spent two years teaching a Reception class at RGS Worcester. She then moved back to her home region to teach at Cheltenham College Junior School. In 2009, she became Assistant Head of the Pre-Prep and Head of Early Years. In 2013 Emily joined Geneva English School as Head of Key Stage One and Early Years where she successful led the creation, opening and development of the Nursery.
Deputy Head: 1 - 3
Over the course of 13 years in the profession, Alex has taught from PreNursery to Year 6. He began his teaching career in Newcastle, before relocating to Qatar, where he was a founding member of staff at a prestigious international prep school. While there, Alex was also fortunate enough to meet his wife who taught at the same school. Alex and Sasha moved to Prague in 2014 and now both work at PBIS and have 2 daughters at the school. Here, the family love to explore the outdoors and go camping, and Alex has discovered a love of running and hiking with his dog Anju. Alex is currently completing a Masters in International Education through King’s College London.
Deputy Head: Years 4 - 6
Matthew started his teaching career as an EAL specialist teacher in the US and abroad. Since studying to become a Primary teacher in his home state of Virginia, he has had a rich experience class teaching in dual-language and English National Curriculum programmes. In 2014, he completed a M.Ed in curriculum and instruction at George Mason University, focusing on international education. He has been at the school for nearly 11 years, teaching in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. He also served as the International Primary Curriculum co-ordinator for several years until he became the Deputy Head. He and his wife are also proud parents of two sons.
Head of ČBZŠ / Head of Czech Programme for PBIS
Having graduated from Charles University, Petra gained her precious life experiences in international companies, thanks to which she had opportunities to visit various countries all over the world. Petra speaks several languages fluently. She familiarised herself with the British curriculum at Riverside School. In 2001 she joined BISP, as an EAL teacher and soon developed the “Czech Programme”. In 2004 Petra successfully prepared the opening of the bilingual school (Česko Britská Základní Škola), which has been met with growing interest from the Czech public.
ČBZŠ Deputy Head
Máiréad comes from Ireland, where she qualified with a B. Ed in 1993. She then spent a year in California and obtained an M.A. in Education. In the 12 years that followed, Máiréad taught in Dublin, Madrid and Sydney.
Pre Nursery Teacher & Early Years Coordinator
Eliška originates from Prague and has worked at the school since February 2005. She spent most of her time within the school working with the youngest children before being appointed Head of Early Years in 2015.
