Peace in Diversity - Activities that Strengthen Core Values

Peace in Diversity Activities that Strengthen Core Values

Every day, students are faced with comments, rumors, and experiences that show them that conflicts exist in different spaces like their homes, school, city, and even the world. That’s why at Eton School we consider it necessary to teach values and behaviors that allow students to make conscious decisions and resolve differences in a positive manner.

Learn to Interact Respectfully
As part of our curriculum, we design activities that help students practice tolerance, empathy, and support for each other. These pursuits not only strengthen their character, but also show them that everyone can contribute something valuable to the community.

A Chain that Binds Us
During one such activity, we shared personal stories for the children to find links between. As they find similarities and celebrate differences, they create links that form a big chain. At the end, they realize we’re all different, but that together we make up a diverse and enriching school community.

A Colorful School Family
The result is powerful: students recognize that diversity doesn’t separate us but makes us a nuanced school family where each voice and each personal experience adds something. This experience helps them understand that peace is achieved through respect and acceptance of those around us.

At Eton School, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. Raising empathetic and conscientious children is part of our commitment to families.

Schedule your visit and learn how our social and emotional activities strengthen interactions and prepare your child for a future in a globalized world.
