Charity Basketball Game

CHARITY EVENT

This week we had another fantastic charity event. The month of February was dedicated to Animals Asia which is our Black Tortoise charity organization. Year 9 Black Tortoise House Captains, Ila and James kicked things off in assembly last week sharing information about the Himalayan Brown Bear Benji, which our donations to Animals Asia will support in the upcoming months. They gave insight and shared some facts about Benji Bear's eating habits and daily lifestyle routines with our students.   

With a strong fight to the finish, our Léman staff pulled through with a 20-18 victory against the students. The students are already excited for a rematch.   

Year 9 student Yoonah and Seongwon have been working on their Community Project to help raise money to save animals in Chengdu. They both worked hard making Valentine's cookies to sell during the Basketball game, sharing a sense of love to our school community. Their cookies were a sell-out, and both students will continue preparing for their final presentations in March.

In March we will have Red Phoenix House Captains take the lead in another activity for Hopeful Hearts charity.
