Meet Sara Mohamed.

Learn more about our Islamic Teacher, Sara Mohamed – a fun-loving educator, with an enthusiasm to spark curiosity and creativity.

WHAT EXCITES YOU THE MOST ABOUT JOINING NAS ABU DHABI?

I’m so excited to be a part of a global international school with an excellent reputation.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO ONCE THE SCHOOL OPENS?

In developing students as lifelong Muslim learners, my responsibility starts with knowing each student's background, learning styles, and readiness, which would lead to a constructive teacher-student relationship.

I aim to build their self-esteem, work on developing their soft skills, and guide and scaffold them to help them construct firm Islamic knowledge and become independent Muslim role models. Caring and trusting that students can learn has the power to inspire them to aim higher.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL MOST PASSIONATELY ABOUT IN EDUCATION?

I'm so passionate about teaching and learning, and I strive to generate enthusiasm for learning.

Teaching – it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. I feel like I was born to teach.

My favourite thing about teaching is meeting new students every school year, and building relationships - getting to know them, and building respect for them. I strongly believe that developing a positive teacher-student relationship is my number one key to success.

I love that teaching provides an opportunity to be creative. There are so many different ways for us to be creative. When I create lessons for my students, I think about ways to be engaging, to make it fun, and how they can take what they've learned and apply it.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING TO DO?

I love having fun! Whether it’s at home, in the school environment with students and teachers, or just shopping, I love bringing fun to everything that I do and I hope to have a lot more fun at NAS Abu Dhabi.

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?

My main passion in education is teaching, because it’s the way of the future, and I love getting students involved with the latest gadgets and approaches.

My number one passion is guiding students to develop spiritually and morally, to take pride in being Muslim, to achieve balanced personalities that reflect the moderation of Islam, and to enjoy learning about Islam.

Moving the students forward in their learning about Islamic subjects, my goal is to teach them how to practice the Islamic core values as they grow, and to be role models.

ABOUT SARA MOHAMED, ISLAMIC TEACHER.

Just like our students, our teachers never stop learning. Al Qasimia University was where Sara Mohamed achieved her bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies – with honours. From there, she went on to study for her professional diploma in teaching from Al Ain University. Now, her curiosity and passion for learning has inspired her to pursue a master of innovation in education – to continue to create the perfect environment for our students to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

With a background in early years and primary schools, Sara’s spent most of her career at British and IB international schools.

As a lifelong learner, she collects knowledge and experience from a diverse range of workshops and courses, and takes advantage of opportunities that allow her to enhance the student experience in her classroom.
