This week, The British International School Abu Dhabi was delighted to hear that their 20 Year 11 students who were entered early for their IGCSE English Language exam scored a 100% pass rate and 85% achieved grades A*-C.
“We’re delighted with the results as we feel that they are a testament to the hard work that the students have undertaken in the last few months,” said Abigail Mack, Head of English at The British International School Abu Dhabi.
Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT) data predicted a 45% pass rate so many of these students achieved results much higher than cognitive data had suggested. High Performance Learning, a model for nurturing giftedness and creativity across all Nord Anglia Education Schools, along with aspirational target setting by staff and students has reaped rewards, showing that consistently aiming high really works.
Lucy Scott, Head of Secondary at The British International School Abu Dhabi said: “Our students have worked really hard to achieve so highly in what are the first major examinations for the school. The introduction of High Performance Learning has really motivated students to realise their potential and believe that they can achieve high levels of performance.”
The British International School Abu Dhabi prides itself on academic excellence and these results are a good example of how Nord Anglia Education Schools and students are continuing to go from strength to strength.
