Nord Anglia appoints new Managing Directors for China International and India Nord Anglia Education (NAE) today announced that Dr Terry Creissen OBE has been appointed Regional Managing Director China International Schools and a member of Nord Anglia’s Executive Committee. Prior to his appointment, Dr Creissen was NAE’s Managing Director for India. It was also announced that Brian Cooklin has been appointed Managing Director (India). Brian is the founding Principal of the award-winning Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong (NAIS Hong Kong). He took up his new position at the end of the 2020 academic year, succeeding Dr Terry Creissen. Nord Anglia Education (NAE) today announced that Dr Terry Creissen OBE has been appointed Regional Managing Director China International Schools and a member of Nord Anglia’s Executive Committee. Prior to his appointment, Dr Creissen was NAE’s Managing Director for India.

Dr Creissen joined NAE in 2007 as Principal of the British International School Shanghai, Pudong. After his time in China, Dr Creissen was appointed Principal at Nord Anglia’s school in Warsaw and in 2014 led its school in Doha, Qatar.

Dr Creissen has spent more than a decade in leadership and advisory roles in the UK, including as a teacher trainer and a qualified consultant who advised schools and their governing bodies.In 1997, in recognition of his work within the education sector, Dr Creissen received an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire).

Commenting on his appointment, Dr Terry Creissen said “I look forward to working with our talented teachers and colleagues in our China International schools to further enhance our outstanding educational offering, which saw our students achieve another outstanding set of IB results this year.”

Terry’s extensive, international leadership experience will ensure our schools continue to deliver a world-class education to our students.”

It was also announced that Brian Cooklin has been appointed Managing Director (India). Brian is the founding Principal of the award-winning Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong (NAIS Hong Kong). He took up his new position at the end of the 2020 academic year, succeeding Dr Terry Creissen.

Brian was NAIS Hong Kong’s Founding Principal in 2014 and has led the school to significant successes, including being voted as Hong Kong’s ‘Best Primary School’ and ‘Best Secondary School’. An elected member of the Board of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), Brian will bring his 23 years’ experience as an international schools leader to his new role in India.

Commenting on his appointment, Brian Cooklin said “I am very much looking forward to joining the team India and helping to further grow our schools’ reputations for academic excellence and highly quality teaching and learning.”
