It has been a wonderful year in Primary here at Northbridge International School Cambodia, and as we say farewell to this school year, I thought I could share a few ideas with you on how you can support your child's development over the next few months.
Reading
For academic support over the summer, the best activity you can encourage your child to do is to read and make shared reading a part of your holiday routine.
Here is the link to my blog post on this last year if you are looking for guidelines on how to do support this.
Problem Solving & Creativity
STEAM projects are a great way to keep children engaged, active and learning all while having great fun and productive.
Here is a link to 40 STEAM Apps and Websites from the website EducationCloset to give you some fresh ideas.
If you are looking for a website to help you check content and suitability of an app, visit commonsense media at this link.
Summer Bingo Challenge
For those of you lacking in ideas, Northbridge has included a bingo challenge in with your child’s report card.
The challenges range from baking to scrapbooking or making your own game and are sure to give your child hours of pleasure, especially if done with you, their parent.
Encourage your child to complete as many of these challenges as they can, and when we come back in August, we will celebrate with them with a certificate, popcorn cup or pizza party.

Summer is a time for children to enjoy special moments with friends and family members.
We hope that this summer will be full of memories for you and your child and look forward to seeing you all again next school year!
