We hope to see you all in the Northbridge International School Cambodia library this week to get your noses stuck in some of these great new titles aimed at our Primary students.
Everyone Books
The global sensation Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls (Parts 1 & 2) has finally hit the Northbridge shelves. The most incredible books that highlight extraordinary real women from history that are the heroes of their own stories.
This series has also inspired the boys version, Boys Who Dare to be Different (Parts 1 & 2) with male role models (who are actually worth looking up to!) starring in "stories of boys who changed the world without killing dragons".
Little Readers
Lots of new board books for little hands!
Some Oliver Jeffers and Rod Campbell classics, and more Peppa Pig than you can poke a pole at! Including the cross-over event that Khemi Cooper has been waiting her entire life for: Peppa Pig & The Magical Unicorn.
Graphic Novels
Northbridge favourite Dav Pilkey's Dog Man Series, has several new additions with Brawl of The Wild, Lord of the Fleas, A Tale of Two Kitties and more! The Cleopatra in Space series also continues with 3 new titles including the latest entry: Fallen Empires.
Junior Fiction
The Whispers by Greg Howard is a coming-of-age story of a boy and his dog who discover magical, wish-granting creatures in the forest and embark on a journey to put their family back together using magic and the power of love.
The Willard Price Adventure series came highly recommended, so we got like 20 of them - If there's an animal or place on Earth worth exploring, chances are there's a Willard Price adventure book about it.
The Young Readers' edition of Hidden Figures tells the true story of the four African-American women who changed history by helping send rockets into space, as popularised by the recent movie.
When people think about leadership, what often comes to mind are the concepts of power, decision making, delegating and innovation. Seldom does one think about care, empathy, kindness, and generosity – however these traits that highlight the emotional skills for successful and effective leadership, including by students at Northbridge International School Cambodia, are just as important.
What are the Primary Arts all about? Is it just a load of fun and messing around? It is fun, which is why we love it but there is so much more to the programme than some people might think.
Take a visit to our early learning spaces at Northbridge International School Cambodia, both inside and out, and you will observe a wealth of play activities happening. Students are interacting in playing on their own (solo play), playing with the same thing or in the same space (mirrored play) or sharing together (collaborative play).
