Celebrating our Northbridge Grade 10 Personal Project showcase
After two long years of interruptions to our regular school activities, it was wonderful to welcome parents and our wider school community back on site to celebrate our Grade 10 Personal Project Showcase at Northbridge International School Cambodia.

This year was our biggest ever cohort of grade 10s taking on the Personal Project and the variety and quality of projects was astonishing

The Personal Project is a culminating project for all students in their final year of MYP. It gives them an opportunity to demonstrate the myriad skills they have developed as IB learners over the 5 years of MYP.

Students are required to set challenging and meaningful learning goals which are demonstrated through the creation of a significant product or outcome that they create. Each year we have students creating fascinating products ranging from cookbooks, video games, go-karts, sculptures and more.

During 21st-22nd of March, the grade 10s welcomed parents, teachers and all students across the school to visit their showcase and see all their wonderful products and outcomes. This year was our biggest ever cohort of grade 10s taking on the Personal Project and the variety and quality of projects was astonishing.

One of the crowd favourite’s was Amida Seng’s exhibit on SCUBA diving. Amida spent the last few months studying and practicing to get PADI certified, she presented some amazing footage from her diving explorations, and brought along SCUBA equipment to let the audience try and experience themselves.

Another popular spot was Chef Kevin and Chef Nob’s food stall. The boys teamed up to allow visitors to test their delicious dishes; Grilled Salmon steaks by Chef Kevin and Cambodian coconut desserts from Nob.

Outside, a group of students exhibited their outdoor adventure products which included Go-Karts built by Mony and William, a dirt bike from Nick and a jungle survival kit curated by Pagna. These stations were very interesting to a wide variety of visitors.

In addition to the fantastic products exhibited at the showcase, Grade 10s also worked diligently on their Personal Project report, one of the most significant pieces of academic writing they have accomplished so far in their learning journeys. This gives them a taste of what will be in store during the Diploma Programme and beyond.

We are very proud of all of our Grade 10 students who successfully completed the personal project, and are very happy to announce that they are ready to move beyond the MYP having shown that they have what it takes to enter the DP programme.

We also want to thank parents who took the time to visit the showcase on Monday evening, there was a great turn out and it was so nice to welcome back a bit of normalcy to the school campus.
