Ms Kemp grew up in the North East of England and has taught in the UK and Qatar before joining the British International School Abu Dhabi in 2016.
When I qualified as a Primary School Teacher, I accepted a job in Qatar and worked there for one Year. This was a great experience and I enjoyed living in a new country and having the opportunity to learn about different cultures. After one year in Qatar, I moved back to the UK to develop my teaching skills further. I accepted a job in a small primary school in the North of England and taught there for two years. During this time I taught students with speech and language difficulties then in a mixed nursery and reception class. I then accepted a job in a large primary school and taught Year 2 for two years. Two years ago I qualified as a Forest School leader and regularly taught lessons in our outdoor forest area. I decided to consider new opportunities to develop my career further and was pleased to find an exciting opportunity at The British International School of Abu Dhabi.
My parents live in the North East of England and my older brother lives in London. I enjoy travelling, love to visit new countries and embrace new cultures. In my spare time I like to bake and take my dog for walks on the beach. I also like to swim and spend time with friends.
