I qualified as a Teacher at St Martin’s College, Carlisle, England in 2003 so I have been teaching for many years. I have taught in all year groups, from Foundation stage, right through to Year 11 and have led many different subjects such as Science, PE and Drama across whole schools. I have taught in a wide variety of schools, from inner city London to small rural schools in Cumbria.
I spent several years working in Special Education, with children who presented extremely challenging behaviour with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as a range of special educational needs.
I love a challenge, trying new things and having new exciting experiences and the move to Abu Dhabi was my next adventure! I longed to work abroad and after having my children, Abu Dhabi was the perfect choice for my family.
I am from Liverpool, England, where we are renowned for our sense of humour. I am fun-loving and friendly with a bubbly personality. I really care about every child that I teach, making sure to nurture them as individuals. My relationship with my students is very important to me. I’m very creative and like to make my lessons as exciting as possible for my students. I have two young children who keep me very busy but when I get the time, I love being active and keeping fit. I like to read, love cooking and enjoy socialising with friends and family.
