Before moving to the British International School, I worked in London for 7 years. I was born in the Midlands, but spent a large proportion of my teens and early twenties in South Wales, where I obtained my Primary teaching degree, before moving to London.
Prior to teaching I worked in France for a number of years and it was there, whilst working with children from all over Europe, that I made the decision to begin teaching.
l am thoroughly enjoying being part of this dynamic and ambitious team. Year on year the school is improving and being part of a team responsible for those improvements continues to give me great motivation and job satisfaction.
I am a sport fiend. Playing it, watching it or buying the equipment to help me play it better; l love to take part in all things sport related. My particular favourites would be football and rugby, however since injuries have stopped me playing contact sports l have developed a love for my bicycle. During my time in the UAE l have cycled in the Dubai 92 road race, to the top of Jebel Hafeet – never again – and the top of Wadi B twice. I’m currently on the lookout for my next challenge!
