I graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2013, where I qualified with a Bachelor of Education. From there, I worked in two schools in the United Kingdom across Key Stage Two. In my last role, I joined the Senior Leadership Team as Upper School Leader and Maths Co-ordinator for the school.
The decision to join BIS Abu Dhabi was an easy one; I had always aspired to work at a Nord Anglia Education school and BIS Abu Dhabi seemed to be the perfect fit.
Ever since I was a teenager, I have always loved travelling and seeing the world. I have always tried to save money ready for my next adventure! In the recent years, I have visited most of the countries in Europe and travelled parts of Asia. On these travels, I have met people from around the world and always love visiting them and immersing myself into local culture! So, it was no surprise to my family when I made the decision that, one day, I would live, work and experience life in a different country.
Aside from travelling, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and meeting new people. This can be having dinner together, going to the theatre or simply spending the time laughing together. I love music and my favourite thing to do with my friends is to go and see bands playing live.
When I’m not travelling or dancing to live music, I enjoy reading, running and, more recently, have started to learn French.
I am ecstatic to have joined BIS Abu Dhabi. Not only is it a world-class institution for learning with fantastic facilities, the sense of community amongst the staff and families is exactly what defines a successful school for me. The values of Nord Anglia Education and BIS Abu Dhabi, particularly the emphasis on everybody achieving, being ambitious and being the very best version of themselves, is absolutely my ethos when it comes to teaching and helping children to develop. A keen learner myself, I am excited to be part of a school with such diversity, where we can share and learn from each other.
