I qualified from Edge Hill university with a BA (HONS) degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status and a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages and Special Educational Needs. I have worked for several years in Key Stage 2 in a primary school in Liverpool. In my previous school, I co-ordinated English as an Additional Language and Modern Foreign Languages.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine and before completing my degree, I lived in Barcelona where I qualified and worked as a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher. In addition to this, I am a keen sportsman and am qualified as a Football Association coach. Since having children, I have waited for the right time to seek opportunities to work internationally again and feel that I have found the perfect school here in Abu Dhabi.
I was born and raised in Liverpool where I have lived most of my life. It is a city that I love for its sport, humour and community spirit – qualities that I hope to enjoy in Abu Dhabi.
I enjoy watching and taking part in all sports but my real love is football. I qualified as an FA coach in order to merge my passion of teaching with my love of football, helping to guide the players in the teams I have coached. I relocated to Abu Dhabi with my wife and two children who have become a part of the Nord Anglia family.
