After gaining experience at an International school in Indonesia, I came back to the UK to train formally as a Teacher of English in Manchester. I went on to work in Brighton before moving to Milan to work in the International School of Monza where I set up a flourishing Drama department alongside my teaching of English. I had heard great things about the Nord Anglia schools over the past few years, particularly the British International School of Abu Dhabi so teaching here was a natural decision for me to make!
Since finishing University, I have spent most summers exploring new countries. Most recently, I have travelled around South America, up the West Coast of Australia and all over Italy. I love learning about new cultures, trying new foods and generally doing something a bit different. When I’m not travelling, most of my weekends will involve watching and playing sports, listening to music and reading.
I was immediately drawn to BIS Abu Dhabi because of the world-wide reputation of the Nord Anglia group. The 80+ different nationalities within the school make for a truly international experience. Finally, the busy school calendar from sports fixtures to exhibitions and performances are all aspects of school life that I love getting involved in.
