I studied Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University from 2011 to 2014, specialising in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice. I then took a gap year from studying where I travelled the USA and worked as a Nanny at a sleep away summer camp. I then followed this by completing my PGCE in Secondary Psychology in 2015/16.
During my time on my PGCE I secured my first teaching job at Rochdale Sixth Form College, and have worked there since. So far in my job as a psychology teacher I have been lucky to work within a large Social Sciences department where I have been able to learn and develop a range of teaching and learning strategies to support all of my students.
One of my favourite things about being a teacher is meeting a wide range of students, and introducing them to a subject that is new, exciting and something that they can use in everyday life, no matter what path they choose to take post-education. I am extremely passionate about my subject, and I enjoy sharing my love for Psychology with all of the students at BIS Abu Dhabi.
