Straight after my studies, I moved to Gran Canaria, Spain, to teach French, English and later Spanish in British international schools where I ended staying for 12 years.
I suppose my biggest personal achievement during that time is to become fluent in Spanish in just over a year and off course raise my own trilingual family!
Since I started teaching I have been preparing students for IGCSE and A levels examination with success. I have a wide knowledge of exam boards and UK/ international exams.
There were many reasons for us to join The British International School, Abu Dhabi team, and amongst them, the opportunity to work in a Premium International school outside of Europe and see the world, the fact I could work with long-term friends, the chance to broaden my experience in post-16 education, to be trained for and implement the IB Diploma and to help expanding the MFL department introducing Spanish across Primary and Secondary, etc.
I was born and raised in Pau, a little town in the South West of France at the bottom of the Pyrenees, an hour away from the ski slopes and from the beautiful beaches on the Atlantic coast. That’s probably why I have two passions: skiing and swimming. What I enjoy the most now is spending as much time as I can with my family and friends and making the most of what the UAE have to offer! Obviously one other passion is learning languages... and Arabic is the next one on my list!
