As you are aware, the Holy month of Ramadan is also the month where people contribute to charity and donate to the less fortunate. As a school, we would like to recognise this important time in the Islamic calendar by giving our NAISAK families the opportunity to make donations at school. This idea came from some of our Year 5 students who are very keen to drive this initiative and to make a difference to people’s lives and is being taken on by our School Councilors.

If you would like to contribute, please send in any donations with your child to school. There are boxes positioned on the Year 6 corridor where students will place any items they bring in. The Student Council will monitor what is being brought in and will sort the items accordingly. We are intending on donating some of these items to our wonderful maintenance and security team who work tirelessly to keep our school clean and safe on a daily basis. Depending on the amount that is donated, we will also be contacting Qatar Charity who will help with the distribution of items to the wider community.

As shared with students during Thursday’s assembly, suggested items you may wish to donate are:

• Non-perishable food items
(dried or tinned food or drinks)

• Clothes

• Bedding

• Household items

• Toiletries

We would like to say thank you to those who have already donated and thank you in advance for any future donations.
