Dear Parents and Students
I hope you enjoyed celebrating Qatar’s historic victory in the Asian Cup this weekend. It has been very nice to see so many staff and students dressed in the colours of the Qatari flag today.
The prime feature of today’s e-Newsletter article will be a report on our Tanzania expedition, which appears to have been an amazing experience for all students involved.
You can also see below some pictures from the Interior Designer, which show what parts of the building will resemble when complete. I toured the new Secondary School last week. I was impressed and enthused by the size of the Science labs, which are progressing well. I am pleased to inform you that we had a deadline of 28 January to have the concrete poured in the roof, which was met.
In terms of health and safety, we have reviewed our procedures. Starting on Sunday 17 February, we will be closing the black door to the tunnel leading to our reception area until 13:40. I am referring to the gate where I stand at the start and end of the day. This is due to issues we have experienced with people entering the campus and ignoring requests from our staff to wait in the reception area, which has, in turn, led to students being removed from classes without us necessarily being informed. We will review how these new arrangements work throughout the next half-term. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
