We had a very competitive and successful week in PE last week as five teams went to different schools to play basketball and our Year 5 and 6 students played in the first Qatar Nord Anglia Cup. The U12 boys Basketball team started the week by coming second in their tournament, followed by the U12 girls Basketball team finishing third in theirs. Our primary girls also played in their QPPSSA tournaments experiencing wins, draws and a few losses.

On Saturday morning, the PE Department took a number of excited Year 5 and 6 boys and girls to Compass International School Doha to play football, basketball and dodgeball. With four Nord Anglia campuses in Doha, it is fantastic to see this competition come to fruition. Overall, we placed second, only 6 points behind the winning campus CIS Al Gharaffa. The girls played extremely well in the basketball tournament and finished first. Special mention goes to Sarah Mendoza for her outstanding shooting skills. The boys placed first in the dodgeball, which proved to be a fast and furious competition.

As always, we are very proud of our students’ efforts, behaviour and achievements. The team spirit yesterday was phenomenal and the support from parents was much appreciated. Well done to all involved.
