A Winning Week for our Sports Teams

Victorious is the word we can use to describe our sports teams after last week’s performances. Our U12 Netball team played Sherborne in their last league fixture of the season, at home on Monday. Following on from winning the B league tournament the week before and beating Doha College the following evening, their confidence was high. The attacking four started strong and soon put the team into the lead. Sherborne fought hard, however, were not strong enough to take over. The final score was 11 – 7 to NAISAK. A fantastic end to the league for them.

On Tuesday, our newly formed Year 3 and 4 girls football teams played a friendly fixture against EMS Al Khor. Ms Davis has been working hard with the girls and it certainly paid off as both teams won; Year 3 won their game 1-0 and Year 4 won their game 2-1.

Mr Broome and Mr Alex took a number of Year 5 and 6 students to the QPPSSA Athletics competition on Wednesday at ACS Doha. 20 schools from across Qatar took part in this event so the competition was high. This was a team and individual event. The stand out performances came from Abdulaziz Al Muhannadi in Year 5 who came 2nd in the Triple Jump and Maryam Al Mutlaq in Year 6 who came 4thin the High Jump.

Well done to all our sports students! Keep up the good work.
