Welcome back to our third and final Term of this academic year. Hopefully everyone has had a good break and will be ready to meet up with friends and teachers to tell them about their adventures.

Last term ended with the Songkran Festivities, a welcome way of escaping from the heat. The children had a great time playing with their friends and teachers, and it was nice to see so many families, both Thai and non-Thai making their offerings to the monks before the morning assemblies.

Everyone will have noticed the high temperatures Bangkok is experiencing at the moment. Teaching staff will all be keeping a close eye on the children whilst they are in school, making sure that they are drinking enough water, spending time in the shade and wearing their hats. Outdoor playtimes might be cut short and the teachers will be regularly updated about the Heat Index, not just the temperature.

Please play your part by making sure the children have their hats with them, along with a water bottle. Especially if your child’s skin burns easily, please apply a long lasting, high factor sunblock before they come to school and put it into their bags if it needs to be reapplied.

Upcoming Holidays

You may have seen that Friday next week is no longer a National holiday, but as so many families have already made plans, the school will still be closed next Friday, as well as for Visakha Bucha Day the following Wednesday.

Next Academic Year

A few months ago we asked you to confirm if your child/children will be returning to St Andrews in August for the start of the new Academic Year. We need this information as soon as possible to ensure that we reserve a place for your child and allocate a class for them. Now that we have largely finished the Admissions process for new families we will soon be calling people who currently hold places on our waiting lists.

If you are still to confirm the place for your child, please either contact the School Office directly (Khun Nisa, Khun Jeep or Mr Roy) or click on this link to enter this information via Google Form. We would appreciate it if you could provide this information to us by the end of next week.
