The votes have now been counted and tallied and we are delighted to be able to share with you this year’s winning titles. There were three clear category winners this year and, for the first time ever, a tie for the winning book in one of the categories.
So, without further ado here are the results for this year. Drum roll please…...:
‘Morris Mole’ with 36.6% of the vote (1,379 total)
‘Bad Guys’ with 38% of the vote (632 total)
‘The Blue Bottle Mystery’ with 23.2% of the vote (487 total)
‘Kick’ with 23.2% of the vote (487 total)

Many thanks to everyone for taking part in the BBA reading and voting this year – here’s to another greater selection of books for next year. Many of the children and teachers at St Andrews International School Bangkok agree with the choices especially ‘Morris Mole’ which has proved a firm favourite. All the books are available in the Library for you to borrow and keep reading!
The books for 2020 have now been shortlisted and include some great stories. We will be getting these in the Library as soon as we can in August/September so that you can start reading them right away.
We are delighted to welcome seven new Library monitors for this final term of the current school year. Peace, Nana G, Rivaan, Diya, Raya, Aditi and Krit have received their training and are ready to start this week. Their reasons for wanting to help in the Library include:
“I want to be helpful and to have challenges.”
“I love to help other people find books.”
“I like reading.”
“I want to take care of the books.”
Our entire team looks forward to helping their friends and peers in the Library at break and lunch times.
We will be implementing a 'split' break/lunchtime timetable for KS2 (Years 3,4,5 and 6) in the Library after the Songkran holiday. This means that Years 3 & 5 and Years 4 & 6 will come together at either break OR lunchtime each day as per the timetable below. Our intention is to create a calm and pleasurable experience for everyone who wants to research, explore and read new books in the comfort of the Library. KS1 will remain unchanged at this time.

This is a good time to remind everyone about the basic rules which we need to reinforce in order to maintain a welcoming yet learning-oriented atmosphere within our Library during the school day. We respectfully remind parents, nannies and helpers that you are welcome to visit the Library between 7.00 and 8.00 a.m. and between 2.30 and 4.00 p.m. The Library is a timetabled teaching space between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. every day and we thank you for your understanding and support with providing the best possible learning experience for all the children.

Walk while using the library.
Use quiet, indoor voices only please.

We are thrilled to announce that St Andrews International School Bangkok has been selected to host the VEX Signature Event in November 2024. This prestigious international event, organised by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF), will welcome 70 teams of young students aged 7 to 15 from the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.
