VSE is back, and it was great to hear the chatter of children in the various Google Meets. We have some memories to cherish from our Christmas concerts and fair.
Welcome back to the new term. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday wherever you were in Thailand and you are rested and ready for the new term. t’s definitely not the situation that we anticipated when we all said our goodbyes back in December, but we hope that the children have all enjoyed their first day back in the VSE and are ready to continue their learning online for the next few weeks. As mentioned in my email last week, this week, we will be building up to introducing a new format for the VSE which will give the children more live time with their teachers. This will be coming online on Thursday. It was great walking around the buildings this morning and hearing the chatter of the children in the various Google Meets. Everyone was dusting off the cobwebs of their VSE skills, refreshing themselves on how to use the various platforms. As always, if you experience any difficulties, please contact your class teacher or Year Leader for support.
Even though it was only a month ago, it’s hard to believe just how lucky we were to be able to celebrate the end of term and the festive season in school together as a community. We were entertained in four separate concerts which highlighted the musical and dancing talents of the children. It was clear to see just how much hard work went into being ready by all of the performer, even the PE team and their aquatic dance!

The Year 6 children, along with the PTG, did an amazing job putting on the Christmas Fair. This was definitely our biggest and best yet and the fact that it was on a separate afternoon form the shows meant that the event stayed busy right up until the end. The Year 6 children organised games and stalls with the aim of raising money for some of the charities that we support. Their efforts managed to amass a huge 83,000 Baht, which will be shared among some of the charities we support.
Keeping on the charity theme, I received a thank you email and photo from the BRC who, as always, were hugely appreciative of the gifts that they received from you.
As presents collected from students of your school were delivered to our office on 17 December 2020, I am writing to inform you that those presents were appropriately given to refugee students of our program at Good Shepherd school this morning.
It is my honour to extend our deepest appreciation to you, your students and your colleagues for your generous support. I wish you were with us this morning to witness how happy our students were when they got Christmas gifts and unboxed them with joy and excitement.
