We all hope that everyone in our Primary Community enjoyed their break and travelled to their planned destinations around the world or here in Thailand. This first week online in the VSE will allow us all to do ATK tests and make sure we are safe to come to school next week.

Welcome Back and a Happy New Year!

Welcome back to STA for the start of Term 2. We all hope that everyone in our Primary Community enjoyed their break and were able to travel to their planned destinations around the world or here in Thailand. As Mr Paul has mentioned it is a little frustrating that we are starting the first week online in VSE but this short break from face-to-face teaching will give us all the chance to do ATK tests and make sure we are safe to come to school next week.

New Term, New Topics!

All the teachers are desperate to see the students back in classrooms and start the new year learning new and exciting topics.

Year 1
History takes a lead role in quite a few of the year groups topics this term. Year 1 are looking at toys by comparing toys that were played with by children in the past with modern-day toys and what has changed through the years.

Year 4
The topic of ‘Titanic’ takes the students back to the start of the last century and the infamous journey of the famous ship. They explore the people that were on board, what they wore, how they lived and their incredible stories of survival.

Year 6
Year 6 will study biographies and autobiographies where the students get to choose a famous person and discover all about their lives and how they became famous and for what reason, they also look at what life was like for these people before they were famous, comparing their own childhoods.

I’m sure you’ll agree there are many reasons to look forward to the learning in Primary this term and we do look forward to seeing all the students back into school very soon.

Welcome to Ms Pip!

Welcome to Ms Pip, who has taken over from Ms Marian in Year 5. Ms Pip has just arrived from the UK and is looking forward to meeting all her students face-to-face. We wish her the best of luck in her new role here at STA.

Antigen Test Kits

Following the school’s announcement to open Term 2 for the first week through the Virtual School Experience (VSE), we kindly ask that all children take the usual two ATK tests and complete the Health App this week. As you know these results need to be recorded on Sunday night (or Monday morning) and on Tuesday night (or Wednesday morning).

Having this information will help our community establish a safe position from which we would then be able to open the school for full face to face learning on Monday 17th January - The school will contact individual families of new Foundation Stage students with details regarding their staggered start.

We thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to build on the success of Term 1 in keeping our whole community safe and healthy.

NAE Parents Satisfaction Survey

As Mr Paul mentioned above, please can all parents complete the NAE Parents Satisfaction Survey. It will take no more than 10 minutes and is in a range of languages as well as English. The more families who complete it, the better the feedback and the more we can further improve the school to meet your families requirements better.
