Staff Profiles: Ms Duangkamol (Nud)

 Duangkamol (Nud)

Government and Community Liaison

My primary role at St Andrews is to foster a communications channel with government offices including national ministries and local authorities. I also ensure that the school’s activities are in compliance with the government regulations and manage school databases relating to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

I received a Bachelor Degree from the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. My further study in International Political Economy (IPE) at Thammasat University encouraged me to join the Country Development Partnership for Poverty Analysis and Monitoring (CDP- PAM) of the World Bank during my dissertation period. My work was involved in facilitating a close collaboration among partnership agencies associated with the project.

After the project ended and my MA thesis was submitted, I worked as a grant coordinator  for the International Master Degree Programme in Southeast Studies. During 8 years at the Program, I was dealing with the grant and fund for the students in the Mekong Sub-region and ASEAN countries and also the special training program on Southeast Asian Studies for the university in Europe and Scandinavia.

I also joined the Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) to implement the project for ASEAN Hometown Improvement through Disability Inclusive Community Model funded by the ASEAN Secretariat in 2017-2019.

My passions involve education, assisting persons with disabilities, and community development. This reflects in publication with UNWTO Global Report on Cultural Itineraries 2015

“Building youth’s capacity in the Historic Town of Sukhothai and Associated Historic Towns to carry on sustainable tourism”

AM Report volume 12 - Global Report on Cultural Itineraries 2015 World Tourism Organization, pp.88-89.

I also volunteered in the Echolocation training in Thailand  where Mr. Daniel Kish, expert in Human Echolocation and President for World Access for the Blind, coached a group of selected Thai blinds with the ability to locate and identify the object and surroundings during the Training of Trainers course in February 2017. (Mr. Daniel Kish and his TEDx talks year 2015)

In August 2019, I joined the STA community.  I am glad to share good practice of the school to the involved government agencies, local and global community in both learning and inclusive society.
