My academic qualifications cover a range of subjects including Economics, Strategic Management, Psychology and Teaching. I initially started teaching in New Zealand and then ventured to Thailand in 2002. Since arriving in Thailand I have had the opportunity to teach a range of subjects including Business Studies, Economics, Maths, English as an Additional Language and Theory of Knowledge. I have held a number of posts over the years including Deputy Head (Pastoral) at another school in Bangkok and now as Head of Humanities at St Andrews International School Bangkok.
I initially was attracted to St. Andrews as a potential parent. I liked the ethos of the school and the inclusive and friendly nature of the whole school community. St. Andrews has a very good reputation amongst the international teaching community, and I am very happy to be part of the exciting and progressive initiatives I have experienced since my start date in 2010.
I am a keen triathlete and adventure racer. I enjoy travelling off the main tourist tracks and exploring different countries on my bicycle.
Working at St. Andrews has been rewarding as we are encouraged to lead when it comes to new approaches in learning. Teachers are passionate about what they do and there is a very strong work ethic amongst staff. Many of our students respond well to new challenges and respond well to different styles of learning and teaching.
