At St Andrews, we’re proud to be part of the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family. It’s not just a network of schools, but a global community that gives our students and teachers an incredible world of opportunities.

Here’s a look at what it means for us to be a Nord Anglia school.

Personalised learning empowering students

Strong academic foundations combine world-class teaching and curricula with cutting-edge technology and facilities to create learning experiences unparalleled in their kind. Inside and outside of the classroom, we inspire our students to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

At St Andrews, we are proud to offer personalised learning pathways that suit each child's unique needs, recognising that no two children learn in the same way. This approach ensures your child graduates with the essential tools to succeed in any path they choose.

Developing metacognition in the classroom to unlock strengths and learning potential

Since everyone learns differently, helping students understand how they learn best is crucial. This concept, known as metacognition, enables students to adapt their thinking styles, helping them thrive in various situations and ultimately become confident learners and creative problem-solvers.

As a result, Nord Anglia Education is exploring the impact of metacognitive strategies in the classroom through various educational research initiatives. We’re proud to share that several St Andrews teachers are involved in these projects and pioneering the use of metacognition in the classroom to build adaptability to social situations,  stronger social connections, and boost independence.

Outstanding teachers who never stop learning

Nord Anglia distinguishes itself in professional development by aiming to develop forward-thinking, technology-enabled, and collaborative educators through an autonomous and accessible approach, made possible by the Nord Anglia University (NAU) online platform.

NAU offers a wide variety of high-quality, engaging online training courses in various topics, including education, HR, finance, marketing, admissions, and specialist leadership programmes for those seeking further development for Middle and Senior Leadership positions. Educators also have the opportunity to apply to a bespoke Master's degree in International Education from King's College London (conditions apply).

Additionally, they benefit from specialised training through our collaborations with institutions like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and The Juilliard School.

Exclusive collaborations with world-class institutions

Our collaborations with leading organisations give our students learning experiences that you won't find anywhere else.

  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): Our students learn through a hands-on, challenge-based approach that builds critical thinking and creativity.

  • The Juilliard School: This collaboration elevates our performing arts education with an innovative curriculum in music, dance, and drama. Juilliard-trained artists even visit our school to work directly with our students and teachers.

  • UNICEF: Our students learn about and take action on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, helping them become agents of change in their local and global communities.

  • IMG Academy: Our students have unparalleled access to IMG Academy’s elite sports training, wellness programmes, and transformative leadership development opportunities, focused on building confidence, discipline, and resilience.

A global community at your fingertips

At St Andrews, students have the opportunity to be part of Global Campus, a unique online platform that connects more than 80,000 students from all Nord Anglia schools. It's a fantastic way for them to collaborate with students from diverse countries and cultures on various projects.

On Global Campus, students can:

  • Take on STEAM challenges inspired by the real-world issues that MIT researchers are addressing.

  • Develop their performing arts skills through a curriculum developed in collaboration with The Juilliard School.

  • Embark on global expeditions, such as the Tanzania Service Expedition, where participants help local communities, or the annual NAE Student Summit, where they collaborate on social impact initiatives.

  • Join online competitions like the Global Writing Competition and the Virtual Young Musician of the Year, which let them show off their talents on an international stage.

A smooth transition for mobile families

One of the best aspects of being part of the Nord Anglia network is the support we provide to our families who relocate worldwide. This means families can move from one NAE school to another with minimal disruption to their child’s education. The admissions process is streamlined, and students can easily connect with a familiar community as they settle into a new country.
