Teaching could not be a more perfect career for me. I love helping others to grow and develop their skills. It feels very rewarding to see the progress that children make on a daily basis, and it is a joy to be around such happy souls. I have been teaching since 2013 when I completed my PGCE at Edge Hill University. Following that, I taught in England for 3 years where I was lucky enough to experience teaching a range of year groups including Year 1, Year 3 and Year 6. In an exciting move, I left England to go and work in an international school in China. I taught there for 2 years and experienced life working in a boarding school. After years of holidaying in Thailand, I knew that my next move must be to Bangkok! In 2018, I started at St Andrews International School Bangkok to teach Year 4.
I grew up in Stoke-on-Trent (UK), before moving to Liverpool to start my teaching career but Bangkok feels like home. My degree was in Sports Coaching and Development, so sport has always been a big part of my life. I like to be active and enjoy competitive or non-competitive games and sports. Football is my favourite sport, but my knees and ankles are not what they used to be!
It is amazing to see how genuinely friendly everyone is at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Teachers, students and parents have all been so kind and helpful. I feel very welcome.
