I graduated from Manchester University in 2010 with a 2:1 in BSc (Hons) Psychology and then I completed my PGCE through Teach First. I worked in North Manchester for 2 years in Year 5 and then I decided to move to a small independent school in Blackburn called Westholme Junior School where I had a Year 5 class of all boys. Having always wanted to teach abroad, I began to research various schools and locations where I could see myself living and working. I had heard of Nord Anglia's reputation so I was delighted when I was offered a position at St Andrews International School Bangkok in 2017. I was also really excited to get the opportunity to work in Year 6.
Since arriving in Bangkok my life has been non-stop and I am loving every minute of teaching and discovering Bangkok! I have been very welcomed by the St Andrew's family and I am proud to be part of such a wonderful team. I am really looking forward to the year ahead. I can't wait for all the challenges and excitement that the year will no doubt bring!
In my free time, I enjoy the escapism of reading a good book, swimming, yoga, Zumba and catching up with friends. I enjoying eating out, travelling and exploring and I am looking forward to more of this throughout the year.
St Andrews Internaitonal School Bangkok is a very special place because there is an enormous amount of respect among children, staff and parents and there is definitely a community feel throughout the campuses.
