3/26/20 Update from Principal Stevens

Dear Parents,

As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic is a very fast-developing situation. By now, I am sure you are aware that the Governor of North Carolina extended his executive order for schools to remain closed until May 15th. It is important that we all do our part to slow the spread of this virus. As such, we have made the decision to comply with this order and will continue to provide the Nord Anglia Virtual School Experience until that time.

For now, school will remain virtual for the remainder of this week and next. We will then break for Spring Break (April 6th-April 17th) and resume virtual school afterward, until we are able to return to school safely. Should the situation change, we will review the matter and act accordingly.

This is obviously a very difficult time, and my thoughts go out to everyone who is being adversely affected by this pandemic. I hope you are all well and staying positive as we all adjust to this new way of living. As I said in my video newsletter on Friday (click here to view or watch below): This, too, will pass, and life will return to a sense of normalcy in the near future.

Until then, let’s all keep learning and communicating, albeit in cyberspace.

Adam Stevens
