To many schools, world learning or global learning simply means learning about other countries and speaking foreign languages. For us, that is just the starting point for world learning; we go much broader and much deeper.
True world learning is about personality, not just places
We won't just help your child understand more about the world - We will help them to grow into a truly global citizen. This means developing deep empathy for and interest in others around the world.
Global learning is about forming connections, not just knowledge
Knowing about the world in which we live is one thing, but how does that benefit us if we're still strangers in other countries? Here at BISC, your child will not only develop knowledge of other cultures but also connections around the world. Through Nord Anglia Education's Global Classroom, your child can connect with others in a safe environment all around the globe, building lifelong global connections and a warm welcome anywhere in the world.
Your child must have the opportunity to explore the world
We can achieve much in the classroom, but the opportunity to travel and experience the world will give your child a truly international experience. For example, in February 2014, 105 students from Nord Anglia Education schools around the world gathered in Tanzania for an expedition, which they spent living and working in the Arusha community.
Difference is normal here
Your child will explore the world, but they will also explore and understand the meaning of difference right within our school. With a highly international community, being "different" is the norm here. Our students don't just recognize this, they embrace and excite in it, seeing every child as someone from whom they can learn.
World learning through an international curriculum
Our curriculum will travel the world with your child, recognized by colleges and other schools around the world. This makes it easier to move between countries.
