I started working with children at the young age of 15, on top of becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant at 18. I have worked with all ages from newborn to 102! I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and plan to continue on with child development. Working with Alzheimer’s patients and infants from abused backgrounds and foster care really ignited my passion to work with people- more specifically, now children. It has become very important to me to be involved in the development and care of those around me, not just on an educational level, but also an emotional level, as well. My goal has always been to create a fun, yet educational environment, while at the same time providing a safe and welcoming space for children to be a part of and grow in.
I came to BISC in March of 2018 and was instantly accepted and treated as if I had always been a part of the family. I have truly enjoyed meeting all of the many wonderful families, children, and co-workers who not only provide me with an opportunity to share my knowledge, but also who teach me new things on a daily basis. I look forward to many more years in BISC, as I continue to learn and grow with the children and families around me.
I have lived in North Carolina all my life and have recently settled down and married a wonderful man who serves as an officer for the City of Charlotte and in the US Army reserves. As of now, we only have one fur baby named Lagertha, but we enjoy spending time with our niece, nephews, and children in our neighborhood.
