Before moving to Charlotte, I worked in a special needs school as a nursery nurse. I heard about the school opening after we had lived here for a year and I applied immediately. I was very impressed with the individualised learning programs, as this was our practise in my previous school. I support the class teacher in all areas of the curriculum and have a sound knowledge of the phonics, maths and social and emotional programs.
This is my tenth year at the British International School of Charlotte and, over the years, I have enjoyed seeing the students and the school develop and grow.
My family moved to Charlotte in 2003 from England through my husband’s work. I have two precious girls: Kaleigh, age 27 and Sarah, age 24. We are now empty-nesters; however, we are a very close family and spend time with each other every week. We also have a dog and cat. My family was very proud to become US citizens in 2012. In my spare time, I love to garden, cook (especially Indian food), and I am avid reader.
I am proud to be part of the dedicated and passionate family at the British International School of Charlotte. The atmosphere within the school is amazing, warm, caring, supportive, driven and happy. I feel that everyone has the same goal, which is to grow each individual to their fullest potential in order for them to go out into the world and make a difference.
