Kindergarten / Year 1 Teacher

After graduating with a first-class honors degree in Primary Education from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, I taught in a well-established school back in my hometown of Norwich. Whilst studying for my degree, I had the fantastic opportunity to spend some time working in a couple of schools in the US. It was during this experience that my love for America was established, and I have always wanted to return and explore all it has to offer.

Having taught in the UK for four years, I took the plunge and moved abroad to teach in an international school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was a fantastic experience and the last four years have cemented my love and appreciation for teaching in an international school. During my time in Kuala Lumpur, I was also part of the team to help our school become an outstanding school and receive the Gold standard with ISQM.

Living in Kuala Lumpur was a fantastic place to explore the world from, and helped me to visit over 30 different countries, although there are still so many places I would love to visit! I feel incredibly lucky to have explored so many places and experienced different cultures and now I am looking forward to not only exploring North Carolina but the many other States within America.

As well as being passionate about travel I also love to bake, dance and do yoga. I also love visiting art galleries and have recently started to get back into creating my own artwork.
