I am originally from the very beautiful county of Yorkshire. Having spent my first few years teaching in the same area, I moved to Chicago and the wonderful community of BISC-LP. I spent four years at the school and truly experienced the city in all its glory, from the grueling polar vortex in my first year to the momentous World Series win in my final year. Following this, I spent two years teaching in Battersea in South West London, where I was able to develop my teaching practice in a new setting before returning to BISC-LP last year. Throughout the schools I have worked in, I have taken a lead in the development of teaching and learning in a range of subjects including English and Math and have acted as a Learning Development Co-Ordinator to support children with Special Educational Needs.
Outside of school, I am a keen Bulls fan and love to attend basketball games. I have danced since childhood and have been a member of the International Dance Teachers Association for the last 14 years. It remains a very strong passion of mine and one I love to share with the children. I look forward to reconnecting with many familiar faces and getting to know plenty of new ones very soon.
