Thursday September 6th we had our first LFA coffee morning held at Ascott. A total of 96 parents attended this meeting and we were happy to have 8 people of school’s administration as our guests.
Many parents signed up to volunteer for different events coming up. Yet, we still need to fill up vacant spots, for homeroom parents and grade level parent volunteers. We went into detail what and how the new ways are of communicating towards school and towards parents. It is very important to express that every classroom in early years and primary needs 1 voluntary parent. For secondary level we are also still seeking grade level parents to take on the task. The goal is to fill all those spot by tomorrow Saturday. If you share an interest in getting involved in these areas please let us know. With the help of Mrs Emma and Mrs Maude in early and primary years, as well as Mr Jarret and Mrs Mindorff, we can build on a new network within our school society.
Fabienne lead the meeting by discussing what the LFA stands for and our goals. The agenda for the remaining for this calendar year was addressed as well as the proper step to contacting the right person when issues need to be discussed. This info can be found in the contact homepage for Leman.
Next Friday we will have a Mooncake class, our 1st event held at school. We will try to do event that should be of interesting and fun to all, at least once a month. If you have a suggest we are open to hear about it. NEXT MONTH, we will be having a luncheon at Waldorf Astoria please stay tune to our next weeks newsletter for registration and further details. We value your time and hope to spark an interest to get involved and connected to the LFA!
