PKA and the Bears!
Over the course of our My Toy Shop unit we have been enquiring into bears. This has led us to explore the differences and similarities between teddy bears and real bears. This unit has been so special to each student because they have been able to bring their beloved teddy bears to school. We express our caring nature when singing, dancing, laughing, and playing with our bears.
We explore how bears and teddy bears are different and the same. We use math language to talk about the size, number, and shape of body parts.
We make a graph to help us answer the question: how many teddy bears are wearing clothes?
Using two kinds of paint brushes and our fingers we make paw prints.
We challenge ourselves to walk like bears. We can even use our balance to climb up and give a big bear growl showing our teeth and claws!
Singing and dancing with our bears is one of our favourite activities! Songs help us to identify the body parts of bears and learn new vocabulary.
Our teddy bears love to play with us! We take them outside and even play hide-and-seek together.
