Welcome back to another new year at BSN. I hope you all enjoyed your summer breaks and it has been lovely to hear about their adventures from the children. We welcome more than 50 new families in Primary school this year and we look forward to getting to know you all in the coming weeks. We also welcome new members of staff across the school and I am sure you will get to meet them soon.
This year we continue to develop our Integrated Curriculum using Cornerstones’ Imaginative Learning Projects. This was a huge success last year with children continuing to make excellent progress across the curriculum as well as having lots of fun along the way. This year we are enhancing this even further through the introduction of Cornerstones’ ‘Love to Investigate’ Science program, which works hand in hand with the ILPs to ensure engaging and fun coverage of the science curriculum.
Alongside this we will be getting involved with many other exciting events including UN Day, the Year 3 Camping Expedition, the introduction of our new STEAM program, opportunities to visit other NAE schools with the Academic Olympiad, STEAM Festival, Performing Arts Festival and Foxes sporting events, not to mention our shows, Book Week, Y4 and 5 Residential trips and so much more. It will be a busy year and I for one can’t wait to see how our students engage, create, exceed and fulfil our ‘Be Ambitious’ philosophy.
I look forward to meeting you all and sharing this world class learning experience with our students!
