Year Group Entry Requirements

We believe that it is important for your child to be with peers at a similar stage in social maturity, and experience tells us that children will get the best from their education this way. For these reasons, we adhere to the policy of keeping children within their correct age band. Please see our reference table to identify your child's year group for our school.

Entry Dates

There are no dates and deadlines to work to - we work around you and we know that plans and schedules have a tendancy to change throughout the relocation process. Just stay in touch and we'll offer flexibility and support. We are a largely non-selective school but we do assess each child from Year 4 upwards to ascertain levels, particularly in Maths and English.

Documentation

Due to restrictions in China, the school is only allowed to accept students with foreign passports, including Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

On application we will require various documentation from both parents and the student such as visas, passports and birth certificates. More details on this will be provided in the application stage. 

Languages and Learning Support

Although all of our lessons are taught in English, and a basic understanding of the English languages is very useful, we do provide support for those with limited, little or even no English if appropriate. We have a fabulous English as an Additional Language (EAL) Department and have teachers who will support students in class, or withdraw for 1-to-1 or small group sessions. 
 
We have a small number of children with special educational needs . We consider every enquiry on an individual basis so please do get in touch with us to discuss your child’s learning needs and requirements as early as possible.
