Simon McRoberts

Head of Secondary

Simon McRoberts
BA Arts (History and Sociology),

I am really proud to be the Head of Secondary here at BSN. Prior to being here I was the International Head of Secondary at the Nord Anglia Chinese International School in Shanghai. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Shanghai and some of my major achievements were overseeing the building of a new Secondary campus, growing the school numbers from 600 to over 1,000 and having a real focus on developing bilingualism.

Before moving to China I had spent 15 years teaching in London with 10 of those in Senior Leadership positions. I have an extensive knowledge and understanding about leadership in schools having been part of outstanding Senior Leadership Teams, including introducing and embedding systems and structures and strategic and operational management leading to significant and sustainable change.

In 2010, I was part of a national training programme to develop ambitious new school leaders called Future Leaders and in 2019 I completed my National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) which focuses on the key skills needed for headship and meets the highest standards for leadership development anywhere in the world.
