Fatima McRoberts

Year 2 Teacher

Fatima McRoberts
BA (Hons) Communication, Postgraduate Certificate in Education Secondary English

I was born in Saudi Arabia, lived in Germany for a short while and moved to the UK at the age of four.  I grew up in London and it is a city that is very close to my heart.

Before moving to China, I spent 12 years teaching Secondary English in some of the most successful schools in London, holding leadership positions.  I have led on curriculum development, teacher development and pedagogy. I have also been an examiner.

I believe that one of the most important elements of a child's education is developing a love of reading. This acts as the roots to support them as they grow their knowledge of the world around them. Reading also allows young minds to be curious, to explore new worlds, expand imagination and to dream of a future that they are yet to create.

I love to escape in a book and, like my parents, to travel.   I enjoy discovering different cultures and architecture, and learning new languages.
