Born in India, I grew up in Scotland, Glasgow, my hometown and then moved to England due to career opportunities and also for further education.
I achieved my Qualified Teacher Status in March 2004 and completed my Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) induction year in March 2005 in the UK. I have been teaching a wide age range of children from all kinds of backgrounds in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, first in United
Kingdom and now in Asia. Prior to teacher training, I was a classroom assistant/nursery nurse for 10 years.
I moved to China in 2009 and my first overseas international teaching position was in Nanjing at the British School of Nanjing! I have been living in South East Asia for the past 11 years and have worked in international schools in Nanjing, Shanghai and Singapore. I am very excited and looking forward to coming back to Nanjing and working at BSN again.
In my spare time, I like reading, going to the cinema and swimming, but the most important thing I love the best... is spending quality time with my daughter!
I passionately believe that children learn best when they are equipped with the tools to shape their own learning in an environment in which they feel safe and comfortable to take risks, explore and experiment to becoming independent learners.
