I have worked professionally within the arts for almost 30 years.  As a student I was fortunate to study at the Royal College of Art, the number 1 ranked art institution in the world.  As a professional artist, I have exhibited widely in the UK and abroad and have been the invited speaker and guest demonstrator at many international symposiums, seminars and workshops including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.  I am a published author and my artwork has been featured in numerous international publications and periodicals.

As an educator, I have taught in universities at Master’s and undergraduate level, and in schools in the UK and abroad at senior school levels for the past 19 years.  For 4 years I was the Course Leader for an FdA in Ceramics in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. Additionally, in Thailand I previously served as a school Academic Director, EAL Department Head and as part of the school Senior Leadership Team.

I feel incredible privileged to have had so many wonderful experiences and opportunities through my passion for the arts.  Teaching has provided me a fantastic way to share the wonderful world of art and to give something back.  Stravinsky speaking of a ‘real tradition' said it like this, ‘It appears as an heirloom, a heritage that one receives on condition of making it bear fruit before passing it on to one's descendants.'
