A lifelong educator, I find meaning and purpose in the service of a fine educational institution like the British International School of Houston. My hobbies include reading, cooking, gardening, old British sportscars, and boating.
With previous experience as a college Provost, Dean, Program Chair and faculty member, I have worked closely with other academic leaders, faculty, and students to improve teaching and learning in a variety of settings. My professional focus has been on integrating comprehensive planning and assessment, leveraging the standards of regional accreditation to improve institutional quality and student outcomes, implementing strategies to improve student engagement and retention, developing robust programs of faculty development, and building excellent educational leadership teams. I earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Argosy University, a master's degree in Twentieth-Century British and American Literature from the University of Virginia, and a bachelor's degree in English from Texas A&M University.
