I have worked with children for the past twenty years. I first started working in a private nursery in Cheshire where I did my Early Childhood qualifications. I loved working in Early Years so much that I decided to take my full teaching degree and I completed this in 2013. For the past eight years I worked in Early Years 1 and 2 in the Middle East. I loved the diversity of the children I had the privilege to work with and learnt so much about the importance of International schools in preparing children for a truly global future. After six years at the Nord Anglia school in Doha, I decided I wanted a new challenge and when the opportunity arose at BISH I jumped at the opportunity. I have been an active member of the Nord Anglia Early Years forum for the last year and along with additional Early Years training I have undertaken over the past few years, I feel that I can bring a global perspective, as well as, Early Years experience, along with me to Houston.
I really enjoy traveling and have been as far south as Australia and as far north as Lapland. I have already been to seven major cities in the US and am looking forward to visiting many more. I enjoy relaxing at home with a good book, swimming and going to the movies in my spare time.
This School is different to all others I have worked at because…
The staff have such a positive attitude; it's infectious! We have a magnificent building with lots of natural light and space for students to explore both inside and outside. I believe that together we can all play our part in moulding every child in BISH to be a future global citizen, capable of exceeding their wildest dreams!
