I graduated in English Postcolonial Literature from the University of Bologna in Italy and obtained my master’s degree from the Sorbonne University in Paris. At the same time, I started teaching English as a foreign language and earned the CELTA certificate. I worked as an EFL teacher for seven years before deciding to move abroad with my husband in 2008. Since then, I’ve lived in four countries (but moved six times) and worked in international schools in The Netherlands, South Korea and now in the US.
I joined the amazing EAL team at BIS Houston last year and I’ve truly enjoyed working with my students and colleagues. I look forward to another great year!
I was raised in an Irish-Italian household and I lived in Tunisia until I was seven. Afterwards we moved to the beautiful city of Ravenna, on the northeastern coast of Italy, where I spent my formative years. I’ve travelled extensively since I was little and I inherited the travel bug from my parents.
I moved to Houston in November 2019 with my husband and two children. When I’m not working, I love exploring new places, reading, swimming, skiing and singing in a pop choir.
