Originally from the Wirral in the UK, I studied Popular Music at Bretton Hall, Leeds University and graduated in 2003. The summer I graduated, I had an amazing opportunity to work in Maine, in an American summer camp. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. Since then, I have taught in a primary school in Manchester, starting as an NQT and progressing to Middle Leadership, leading PE and The Arts. I was drawn to Houston as it is such an exciting, vibrant city. I decided I wanted a new challenge in my career, a new lifestyle for my family, some sunshine and have not looked back since!
I met my husband, Mark at university and we have 2 children; Elliot who is 9 and Edie who is 7. They keep me very busy! We enjoy family holidays, ice cream and spending time with family and friends. I would say I am creative and extremely enthusiastic. I enjoy music/performing arts and can play piano, guitar and violin. I like to attend gigs, festivals and concerts.
