Nichola Phillips

Year 1 Teacher

I began teaching in London where I developed my career as an Early Years and Key Stage 1 teacher.  During this time I had the opportunity to be the Literacy and Early Years Leader. In 2014 I moved to Houston and joined The British International School. This was a very exciting move for me as it gave me the opportunity to work both international and within an outstanding teaching and learning setting. It has been a wonderful experience that continues to grow with each new class.

During the school holidays my favorite thing to do is travel! I have been lucky enough to visit many new towns, cities and countries since living in Houston and still have many more places to tick off. I love being outdoors: hiking, bike rides or trips to beach. I often foster puppies or dogs for local animal rescue centers, so if you have a child in my class you will most likely get to hear all about them! :)
